The International Commission on Glass (ICG), along with the Community of Glass Associations (CGA) and ICOM-Glass recently applied for a United Nations International Year of Glass of 2022 and the UN General Council meeting on 18th May 2021 gave its formal approval!
The Year will celebrate the essential role glass has and will continue to have in Society. A 2 day opening event at the Palace of Nations in Geneva will feature 30 world class speakers. The event will be streamed worldwide! A separate web site lists the programme and has a link to the live stream from the Conference Hall.
Talks will highlight the latest thinking on how GLASS can aid the development of more just and sustainable societies alongside the most recent scientific and technical breakthroughs. Official website: https://iyog2022.org/
