Within the Job Fair held at the Department of Chemical Engineering Ceramics and Glass met and presentation known manufacturing companies in the field of ceramics, glass and raw materials. Among the representatives were JSC “Vetropack Gostomel Glass Factory”, IMERYS and CRH Ukraine.
Students were able to get acquainted with the latest trends in the industry and to communicate with the representatives of companies about the possibility and conditions of employment, practice or internship.

On November 13-16, 2018, at the Institute of Geology, the Institute of Geology of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, with the support of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), the XII International Scientific Conference “Monitoring of Geological Processes and Ecological Condition of the Environment »(XII International Scientific Conference” Monitoring of Geological Processes and Environmental Environment “), devoted to problems of monitoring of the geological environment, which includes both modern hazardous processes and the study of geological factors that can lead to you are up to ecological catastrophes. The conference considered new approaches to the application of geological, geophysical and geoinformation methods during the assessment of natural and man-made processes, the study of the ecological status of territories, etc.
Participation in the conference was given by associate professor of the chair of chemical technology of ceramics and glass, Ph.D. Kovalchuk Irina.
On November 20, 2018, the official ceremony of awarding the laureates of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology in 2017 took place.
By the submission of the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, the Decrees of the President of Ukraine dated May 21, 2018, awarded 14 awards to 109 persons – 78 doctors of sciences (including 5 academicians and 11 correspondent members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) and 20 candidates of sciences . One of the laureates is the head of the chair of chemical technology of ceramics and glass Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Boris Kornilovych.
